1 Overview

GenConvert is an AI-powered conversion optimization tool designed for e-commerce merchants. Users connect their e-commerce stores (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress) to their GenConvert account. The platform collects real-time visitor data and uses Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate or serve highly personalized, context-aware popups (e.g., newsletter signups, discount offers) to increase conversions. Users can sign up for a free tier or trial, after which a paid subscription or lifetime plan is required for continued use.

2 Accounts

To use GenConvert, you must provide accurate information, including your company name and valid payment information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, API keys, and integration tokens. By subscribing, you agree to pay any applicable fees for your selected plan.

3 Free Tier, Trials & Subscriptions

• Free Tier & Trials: New users are eligible for a Free Tier or a 14-day free trial of paid features.
• Subscriptions: After the trial period ends or free tier limits are reached, a paid subscription (e.g., Launch, Growth, Scale) or Lifetime Deal (LTD) is required to access GenConvert's features and continue serving popups.
• Cancellation & Data Retention: If you cancel your subscription or fail to pay, your active popups will stop displaying to visitors. Your campaign configurations and historical analytics data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation, after which they will be permanently deleted from our systems.

4 Usage, Events, and Plan Limits

Your subscription tier dictates your monthly allowances. The core metrics tracked are Pageviews and Form Submissions.

• What counts as a Pageview: A "pageview" (or popup serve) is counted every single time a popup is displayed to a visitor on your store. This includes popups whose copy was freshly generated by the AI, as well as popups served instantly from our high-performance cache. All popup serves are counted equally toward your plan's monthly pageview limit.
• What counts as a Form Submission: A form submission is counted when a visitor successfully submits a form (e.g., email signup) within a GenConvert popup.
• Feature Limits: Each plan also enforces strict limits on the number of connected Websites, active Campaigns, and maximum AI-generated popups (excluding Lifetime plans, which feature unlimited AI generations).
• Source of Truth: GenConvert uses a distributed architecture (Redis for real-time rate-limiting and ClickHouse for analytical storage). ClickHouse acts as the strict, immutable source of truth for calculating end-of-month plan usage and billing.
• No Data Loss: GenConvert continues to record all background events in our database even if you exceed your plan limit. We do not discard or throttle tracking events.

5 AI-Generated Content & Merchant Responsibility

GenConvert uses AI to generate popup copy based on your configuration, brand tone, and visitor context.

• Merchant-Approved Offers: You must explicitly define your valid discounts, promo codes, and offers in the GenConvert dashboard. Our system prompts include strict guardrails to prevent the AI from hallucinating offers, prices, or promo codes. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring that the offers, prices, and terms configured in your campaigns are legally compliant, accurate, and financially viable for your business.
• Content Liability: GenConvert is not liable for any financial loss, chargebacks, margin erosion, or customer disputes arising from promotions, discounts, or claims made via popups on your store. You are the publisher of the content displayed on your website.

6 Data Collection & GDPR Compliance

GenConvert collects non-personal and behavioral data from your store visitors (e.g., device type, cart value, scroll depth, exit intent, IP address) to trigger and personalize popups.

• Controller vs. Processor: Under the GDPR and Finnish data protection laws, you (the merchant) are the Data Controller, and GenConvert is the Data Processor.
• Your Responsibilities: You are responsible for obtaining explicit, lawful consent from your visitors (e.g., via a cookie consent banner) before our script collects behavioral data or sets cookies. You must also provide a privacy policy on your store that discloses the use of GenConvert.
• Our Responsibilities: We process data solely to provide popup generation, caching, and analytics. We do not sell visitor data, and we implement strict technical and organizational security measures to protect the data we process on your behalf. 7 Third-Party Integrations

GenConvert integrates with third-party platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Zapier).

• You are responsible for maintaining valid API credentials and ensuring your use of these integrations complies with the respective third-party’s Terms of Service.
• GenConvert is not responsible for any service interruptions, API changes, data syncing issues, or account suspensions caused by third-party platforms.

8 Updates to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our AI models, pricing, features, or legal requirements. You will be notified of any material changes via the email address associated with your account.

9 Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Finland.
